As Salaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakthu,
My name is Mohamed Youssef, originally come from Egypt and I am eldest in my family. I taught at the Australian International Islamic College from 2006 until 2009. I took the challenge to teach in the Kimberley region in Western Australia from 2009 until 2019. In 2010 I completed a Master of Education at Griffith University and in 2011, I completed Graduate Certificate in Teaching Mathematics Secondary School at the University of QLD. I am also honoured to be a Reserve Infantry Officer with the Australian Defence Force. I got commissioned in 2017 as a Lieutenant in the Australian Army.
In my spare times, I do enjoy fishing, camping and travelling. I try always to seek more knowledge and expanding my personal limits. I completed Open Water diving course and did 23 dives in the Red Sea. Hiking mountains also is one of my interests and I was lucky to hike Mouses Mountains few times and learn about different cultures.
“It is okay to make mistakes, but It very important to acknowledge them and fix them”
I am passionate about education and watching students learn. It gives me a great pleasure to be part of the student’s learning journey . I believe in “what we walk past is what we accept”. We are all equal here at AIIC, we just have different roles. Student’s achievement and behaviour is 12 years process at the AIIC. I do have a High Expectations for all students, and I always tell students “this work is important, I know you can do it, I won’t give up on you because know the harder I work with you, the more you will achieve and smarter you will get. It is okay to make mistakes, but It very important to acknowledge them and fix them”.
