An inaugural achievement for Australian International Islamic College as AIIC were selected to participate in the Building Relationships through Intercultural Dialogue and Growing Engagement (BRIDGE). Nine schools across Australia were given the opportunity to undertake Professional Learning in Jakarta, along with being paired with an Indonesian school.

AIIC is fortunate enough to share and collaborate with SMA 3 Negeri, Padang a secondary school from grades 10 to 12 with approximately 1000 students.

Both schools will focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the hopes to make our planet safer and more sustainable in the future.  Currently the two SDG that both schools will be active in are

  1. Life below the sea
  2. Responsible consumption

In mid-July this year Mrs Muncaster and Ms Jaffar were chosen by Principal Mohammed Ally to represent our college in Indonesia where they undertook training workshops in Jakarta and participated in SMA 3 Negeri school activities.

AIIC intends to reciprocate and open our school to officially welcome the nominated teachers from SMA 3 Negeri, Padang. It is our privilege to host Mem Refnita and Mem Fefli. The teachers are staying at our college from 11th of August to the 24th of August 2019 where they’ll be observing students in the classroom, school procedures and learning the Australian culture and lifestyle.

In Sha Allah you have a wonderful stay in Australia, and we look forward to working together.
