On the 6th of June 2011 AIIC hosted the Jump Rope for Heart event in order to continue their support to the Heart Foundation. The latest is all about learning how to keep fit and healthy by promoting physical activity amongst students and raising money for people with cardiovascular diseases. Runcorn Primary State School’s demonstration
team put on a fantastic performance. We were delighted to watch an amazing and spectacular presentation. Our primary students enjoyed the wonderful presentation. They are motivated and very enthusiastic to do skipping
every day. The inclusive participation of students and teachers underlined the excitement. Students had lots of fun with their classmates, skipping games became a daily routine during Sports sessions and breaks. At the same time, they supported the program to save Australian lives by asking family and friends to sponsor them. A generous amount of money was raised and the funds went towards research to help the fight against heart disease and stroke. I appreciate the vital support given by parents for the event.Thank you very much for your efforts in raising the funds. On behalf of the staff and students of the Australian International Islamic College, I would like to express my gratitude for giving our college the opportunity to participate in Jump Rope for Heart. I would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to Runcorn State School Teacher, Mr. Nelson, the parents and his Year 6 & 7 students who visited us and put on an awesome presentation of fantastic skills in skipping.
