Family Fun Night

On the evening of Saturday 15^th June 2013, the Australian International Islamic College held its annual Family Fun Night.  The annual event is a chance for students, parents, teachers and members of the community to come and enjoy a meal together and catch up with friends and colleagues, both past and present.Alhamdulillah, this year our annual dinner was a wonderful success.  There was a formal program consisting of Nasheeds, Science Experiments, an Islamic and general knowledge quiz and, of course, the very popular Lucky Draw.   

The evening took place in the Multi-purpose hall, which was filled to capacity, Mashallah!   Also on display was a beautiful Art Exhibition of student work as well as a textile display from our Home Economics students.  A variety of stall holders and rides for the children ensured young and old were entertained on the night.

 The Lucky Draw took place several times during the program and kept everyone excitedly checking their tickets to see if they had won a prize.  A big thank you must go to all our sponsors who were kind enough to donate vouchers and items for the Lucky Draw.  A big shout out goes to: Nandos Mt. Gravatt, Bliss Skin Care Centre, Lezzet Restaurant, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Phoenix Cards and Mrs Muncaster. 

It was indeed wonderful to see so many of our students who have come to Australia from new migrant and refugee backgrounds enjoy themselves in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to all those who helped make the event an enjoyable and successful evening.  Inshaallah, we’ll see you again next year!
